Flights Paid - Tour Booked

I have paid for my Flights to Europe and booked my 17 day Top Deck tour adventure. I'm extremely nervous as I will be doing this by myself, hopefully I will meet new friends and it will be one of the greatest experiences of my life.

On the 15th of April a couple of friends and I will be flying out of Launceston, Tasmania at 5:10pm local time - changing over in Melbourne - changing over in Dubai and finally arriving at our destination: Glasgow airport  at 12:35pm local time. A total of 23hrs flying time.

I will spending the first week and a half in Scotland celebrating the Hens Party weekend on the 17th and then the Wedding on the 24th. During that time there will be; site seeing, drinking and Scottish culture - maybe even haggis.

On the 26th a group will be heading through to London where we will separate to have our own experiences. On the 29th I will be joining a 17 day "Pathway" Top Deck tour.

The Following is my Top Deck Itinerary for when I reach London.

17 Days, London to London

Uncover a whole new way to travel in Europe

Visiting 8 countries: Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Vatican City, Switzerland, France
Follow this European Pathway and you'll be amazed by the wonders you see along the way! After navigating the maze of canals and narrow alleys that is Venice transcend the high Alpine passes of Switzerland. Find yourself strolling the grand, leafy boulevards of Paris one day to exploring the cobbled streets of Prague another. This isn't your average well-trodden pathway; this is travel in Europe at its best!

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Paris

Bonsoir Paris! Pinch yourself and Instagram your first holiday selfie, you’re finally here! Your friends will secretly hate you, but you have other things on your mind as we show you the bright lights of this utterly enchanting city.
  • Day 2: Paris

Today we hand you the keys to this fair city. Cafe hop your way down Champs-Élysées and jaw drop along the hallowed halls of the Louvre or Musee d'Orsay; watch life go by in the Latin Quarter, then the sun set over this romantic city in the arty Montmartre. You'll also be the envy of every other tourist in town when we lay out an included picnic right by the Eiffel Tower just for you. Swag, we know.
  • Day 3: Swiss Alps

Practice your yodeling today as we head to our breathtaking Swiss Alps getaway that could be straight out of Heidi.
  • Day 4: Swiss Alps

This idylic Alpine valley is yours to explore. Hop on the famous Jungfrau railway that ascends through the bowels of the mountain and spits you out onto the 'roof of Europe' for guaranteed #summersnow and #epicviews.
  • Day 5: Florence

First up, time to see a Pisa about a tower for your own version of THAT shot, then on to the Florence for artistic and culinary delights in equal measure. If you leave here hungry you made a wrong turn somewhere.
  • Day 6: Rome

From the birthplace of the Renaissance to Caesar’s old stomping ground. Rome is home to a legion of acient and modern treasures. See the best of them as we head through the city on a guided tour: the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, the ancient Roman Forum, the Colosseum, and that's just for starters.
  • Day 7: Rome

Church is optional this morning with a visit to the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. Later on do your best Frank Underwood impersonation at Palatine Hill, the ancient political heart of the entire Roman Empire. Or fake it ‘til you make it in Rome's cafes, do some people watching or just kick back with a gelato by the Trevi Fountain like nobody’s watching.
  • Day 8: Venice

After stopping off to sing a romantic ballad under Juliet’s balcony in Verona, it’s on to the city of canals and 118 islands. It could be worse.
  • Day 9: Venice

There are two perspectives of Venice and today we'll experience both. Stretch your legs on land as we check out Rialto Bridge and St Mark’s Square on foot, and then test your sea legs as we view life from the water on a vaporetto ride along the Grand Canal.
  • Day 10: Munich

Stop in the former winter Olympic city of Innsbruck on our way north. Then it's to the Bavarian beer halls and roasted pork knuckles of Munich. Prost Germany!
  • Day 11: Prague

We begin the day with a sobering visit to the former concentration camp at Dachau. Then we set our sat nav for the 'city of a hundred spires', as well as all the other gothic delights on offer in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities.
  • Day 12: Prague

Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square would make a good start today. Later get your glasnost nostalgia fix at the Museum of Communism, then work your way through a world-renowned beer range you don’t have to be a hipster to appreciate.
  • Day 13: Berlin

We’ll let Dresden show off her charms for you before we hit the funky German capital to find out exactly what it means to be ein Berliner.
  • Day 14: Berlin

Once divided, now twice as cool, Berlin is possibly the most happening city in Europe. Start off with a history lesson at the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie and the Reichstag building. Then strap on your dancing shoes and assemble the wolf-pack, the nightlife here is famous for a reason.
  • Day 15: Amsterdam

Get your clogs on, artsy-as Amsterdam beckons with its musuems, busy canals and millions of bicycles. As well as other, er... temptations.
  • Day 16: Amsterdam

Equal parts Banksy and Van Gogh, Amsterdam offers much more than just the world’s most famous red light district and coffee shops selling their own ‘homegrown’. Visit Anne Frank House, hit the museums or just do as the locals do and cruise around on two wheels.
  • Day 17: London

Fill your suitcase with chocolate and beer Belgian-style like Colin Farrell in Brugge, before heading back to London for hugs and sad goodbyes.
